We see that many of you are commenting on another blog post about a somewhat-amusing video on www.youtube.com, so we figured it had earned the right to its own post.
Trouble is, we can’t be sure of exactly what we’re seeing here.
Yes, the video does show an old guy in Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office apparel covering up his license plate, but we can’t be sure if it’s a deputy, posse member or someone who likes to play dress-up. We’re also not sure if it’s against the law to cover up your license plate on private property, (though the man apparently drove off onto a public street).
We’re also not sure if the man was ticked off that someone was videotaping his license plate, or had some kind of law-enforcement-related reason to cover the plate.
