According to his website, Wayne Hancock is a walking musical contradiction: “Steeped in traditional but never ‘retro’; bare bones but bone shaking; hardcore but with a swing.”

A natural performer, Hancock started writing music at the  age of 12 and won the “Wrangler County Showdown” talent show when he was 18; just before being shipped off to serve four years with The Marines.
