Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever’s memorial service was held yesterday in Sierra Vista.
Dever died last week after he lost control of his truck on a dirt road near White Horse Lake.

Several members of Dever’s family spoke at his memorial service at Buena High School last night, as well as his chief deputy, Rod Rothrock, Senator Jon Kyl, and others.
There was also a miles-long funeral procession beforehand, which ran from Benson to Sierra Vista. Footage of that can be found in the video below, starting around the 55-second mark.
Over the weekend, there was also a walk in Tombstone for the late Sheriff, which included a riderless horse walking down Allen Street.
A private memorial service for Dever’s family was also held last week.
