Thomas Paine made zines. Okay, maybe they called them “pamphlets” back then, but when you think about it, they’re kind of the same thing — handmade booklets made by someone to express their ideas.
Well, get ready to tap into your inner Thomas Paine on Friday, April 3, at 5 p.m. at Trunk Space, 1506 Grand Avenue, during Phoenix Zine Fair 2015. Come see, sell, or trade original books and zines with others who value this underappreciated art. All of the table space has already been reserved, but zine-ophiles are still welcome to share their creations by handing them out. During the last hour of the event, a select few zines will be chosen as winners and will be displayed and available for purchase during the month of April at Trunk Space.
