This is what happened at Wednesday night’s D-Backs game. A kid named Ian had a ball tossed to him by Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks. A younger kid — a Brewers fan — was in tears because he almost caught the ball before it was given to Ian. Ian, recognizing the kid’s anguish, gave him the ball. Faith in humanity: restored.
