Sean Noble [above], a local right-wing political consultant and former chief-of-staff for John Shadegg, is in the hospital after a one-car accident on Friday.

Greg Patterson’s Espresso Pundit blog reported yesterday that Noble, who also writes a so-so political blog called Noble Thinking, “lost control of his car while driving down a mountain … after a youth conference.” Noble had to crawl back to the road to summon help, Patterson writes.

Noble will be in the hospital at least another week, then recover at home for six weeks, according to Patterson. Noble also writes briefly on Twitter about his situation.

He reportedly entertained the notion of running for Shadegg’s seat after the Congressman announced last year he wouldn’t run for re-election. Shadegg later changed his mind and was re-elected.

Update: The Arizona Guardian has a detailed account of the accident and an interview with Noble.
