If you’ve lived in Chicago, have visited Chicago, or just love deep dish pizza, then you already know Lou Malnati’s. This Windy City pizzeria
is one of the most famous places to dig into a Chicago-style, deep dish pizza — and according to a spokesperson for the Chicago company, Lou Malnati’s plans to open a location right here in Phoenix.
That’s right. Lou Malnati’s will be coming to the Valley.
Tuesday night the pizzeria tweeted that if all goes as planned, there should be a Lou Malnati’s in the Valley as soon as next spring. A spokesperson for the Chicago company confirmed on Wednesday that the company plans to open a restaurant in the Valley, though a location has not been finalized.
The announcement came after an inquiry from Paige Dimakos, a reporter for KTAR. The radio station reported the news of the restaurant’s plans Tuesday night.
