The family of Travis Alexander agrees with the first-degree murder jury verdict against Jodi Arias, and plans to sue Arias in the near future, the family’s lawyer said today..

Jay Beckstead, the family’s lawyer, announced the planned wrongful death suit against Arias today on the steps of the Maricopa County Courthouse, surrounded by reporters and a large crowd of trial watchers.

Any money that Arias makes selling prints or T-shirts on her web site will probably end up helping victims of domestic violence after all. Her violence.

Becktead also put out a special thanks to deputy county attorney Juan Martinez on behalf of the family, causing loud cheers to erupt from the crowd.

Alexander’s sisters Tanisha Sorenson and Samatha Alexander, sat in the front row of the courtroom galley nearly every day of the trial. Neither they nor other family members will be commenting on the case until after Arias’ sentencing, Beckstead said.
