If your commute was ruined by traffic on Interstate 10 this morning, we’ll tell you that the culprit has been revealed as aluminum cans.
Like, a lot of aluminum cans, which covered several lanes of traffic near the Salt River Bridge.
Although all the lanes were back open around 8:30 a.m., ADOT says the traffic on I-10 and I-17 is “VERY slow” due to the can incident.
If we had to guess, this sound like a case of the Michigan bottle-deposit scam:
