A fellow running for the open U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts said what everyone else is thinking had a word or two to say about Arizona Republican Congressman Trent Franks, after Franks’ bone-headed comment about rape not resulting in that many pregnancies.

“I think that he’s a moron and he proves that stupid has no specific political affiliation,” Republican candidate Gabriel Gomez told ABC News.

This came out as part of Franks’ push to get a nationwide ban on abortions past 20 weeks of gestation.

Franks later claimed that he was saying “pregnancies from rape that result in abortion after the beginning of the sixth month are very rare,” which is not actually what he said in the hearing.

But let’s get back to that Gomez guy.

“I have no idea what goes into the mind of a moron like that,” he continued to ABC News. “These kinds of comments only come from a moron and they shouldn’t be tolerated one bit.”
