Keep Phoenix New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Phoenix music fans love visiting our kindred desert sister city of Indio for Coachella, and the lineup for the mega-festival published yesterday. In addition to headliners LCD Soundsystem, and Guns N’ Roses — both groups haven’t played publicly in years, and remember when LCD Soundsystem “retired”? — some big names on the bill include Ellie Goulding, Sufjan Stevens, Ice Cube, Sia, Major Lazer, and Rancid. Calvin Harris is the final headliner.
Unless we missed something, there are zero Arizona artists on the bill. Oh, well, maybe next year.
The festival is scheduled to take place April 15-17 and April 22-24. Looks like there are still passes for weekend two for $399.
