Fans of Bobby Q, the longstanding barbecue restaurant in Northwest Phoenix, will soon have another place to get their fix of wood-fired ‘cue and steaks.
According to the restaurant’s website, a second location of Bobby Q will open in Mesa this summer. A spokesperson for the company confirmed the plans but declined to give any further details at this time.
The restaurant, which is located at 8501 North 27th Avenue, was opened in 2005 by well-known local restaurateur Bob Sikora. Sikora operated a handful of legendary local restaurants and bars over the years, including Mr. Lucky’s and Bobby McGee’s, which at one time had two dozen locations around the country.
Bobby Q was recently named one of the “Top 100 Places to Eat in the US for 2016” by Yelp and was listed as one of the top 30 barbecue restaurants in the country by Open Table in 2014.
