The team behind one of Scottsdale’s most beloved, swanky sushi spots is back in town with a new steakhouse. Innovative Dining Group ran Sushi Roku at the W Scottsdale until its closure in 2023. The company plans to open BOA Steakhouse at Southbridge along the Scottsdale Waterfront later this year.

“Returning to Arizona with BOA Steakhouse is a moment we’ve been looking forward to, especially in a city that feels so naturally connected to our West Coast and Las Vegas roots,” Lee Maen, co-founder of Innovative Dining Group, said in a press release. “Scottsdale’s synergy, familiar faces and deep ties to our team have made us eager to return, and it’s naturally the perfect next home.”

BOA Steakhouse, which debuted in West Hollywood in 2001, serves a signature 40-day dry-aged New York strip steak, Tableside Caesar Salad and an indulgent “Boujee” Baked Potato topped with caviar.

The Scottsdale location will be BOA’s sixth in the U.S. and will take over part of the former STK (the second-floor rooftop will debut as Above All Else). The upscale American steakhouse is anticipated to open in the first half of the year.

The steakhouse menu features a raw bar, pastas, A5 Japanese Wagyu and a vegan “Beyond Steak Filet.” Diners who are fans of the “Yellowstone” universe can also order an 18-ounce dry-aged Black Angus ribeye from the 6666 Ranch, which is featured in Taylor Sheridan’s popular Western-themed show. The kitchen will also be seed oil-free, according to the announcement.

At the bar, customers will find signature sips, including a smoked old fashioned, as well as a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list.

The expansive restaurant will seat 210 guests across a dining room, bar and lounge and patio. In addition to this central space, BOA will offer two private dining rooms. The restaurant group has teamed up with TAG Front and Upward Architects on the design. The modern space will feature custom murals and mixed wood tones.

“Every detail of BOA Scottsdale is intentionally designed with the guest in mind, from the sculptural interiors to the energy of the dining room, to the rare opportunity to enjoy a world-class steakhouse right on the water,” Philip Cummins, co-founder of Innovative Dining Group, said in the release.
