Fountain Hills is a scenic destination. Aside from its good looks, the numerous cultural festivals are one reason residents and tourists regularly flock to the Northeast Valley’s burb. The annual Fountain Hills Music Fest is back, and this year its tagline is ‘Party Rock!’
“High-energy jams from different eras” are what’s in store for those who are planning to head to this free event that takes place from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at Fountain Park. In addition to the live music, food trucks will be on site. Bone Haus Brewing and Grapeables Wine Bar will be selling their beverages in the beer and wine garden.
Here’s what this year’s roster of bands looks like.
If anyone can get a party started, it’s Sandra Bassett. The Phoenix-based Detroit native will take the stage from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., performing an array of Motown and disco songs. Not only does she have a powerful voice that can light up a crowd, but she’s a master of multiple instruments.

Next up, it’s The Black Hole, to play ‘70s rock ‘n’ roll and blues songs to tour you through that jammy era of music. This band has headlined tours around the U.S. and beyond, including Europe and South America. In 2023, they won the Arizona Blues Challenge. They’ve shared stages with acts like Kool & The Gang, Sublime with Rome and Jon Nemeth. They’ll perform from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m.
Iconic will wrap things up from 7:30 to 9 p.m. with their set of ‘80s rock and pop tunes. This local act is known for its lively shows, filled with hits you can sing and dance to.
