Yes, Phoenix has a lingerie-themed rave. And if you’re familiar with EDM fashion and culture, it’s not too strange of a concept.
Lingerieve 19 took over Third Base Bar in Chandler on Saturday, Aug. 22, filling the East Valley sports bar with light, sound and chaos as a horde of EDM fans gathered to dance, many of whom dressed up for the annual rave in their underwear.
You read that right.
The dance party was a sweaty free-for-all of beats and bass on a sweltering Arizona summer night. It also got ridiculously messy at one point, as models staged a chaotic cake fight involving splattered dessert treats. It was part whipped cream-coated wrestling match and part performance art piece that was one of the night’s most memorable moments.

Lingerieve is one of Phoenix’s longest-running annual EDM events, dating back to the mid-2000s. Organized by longtime Arizona rave promoter Clix and Philadelphia DJ Mighty Mike Saga, it’s been staged at Valley warehouses, nightclubs and venues before moving to Third Base Bar in recent years.
The lingerie-themed dance party was inspired by rave culture’s long-running love of colorful and over-the-top fashion. Furry accessories, day-glo outfits and strange costumes are all part of the scene.
This year’s Lingerieve was headlined by U.K. happy hardcore legend Hixxy and Arizona rave scene veteran DJ Rhinox. Local DJs Dark Mark, Rize, Mastao, Tammageddon and Tripwire also played sets, spinning rave-friendly genres like hard techno, hardcore and other high-energy dance music.
Here’s a look at what went down at Lingerieve 19 this past weekend.
