Looking for something to do this week? “Night Owl” is a quick guide to special nights at bars and clubs around town. We’ll give you a few hints re: cover, dress code, music and atmosphere. Every Wednesday marks 2-4-1 Wednesdays at Bliss Rebar.
Bliss Rebar is a metallic forest free-for-all with its combination of urban, industrial and rural designs. The heavily forested bar can be enjoyed at an increasingly blissful price as 2-4-1 Wednesdays continues past 9 p.m. and on into the downtown Phoenix night.
See the full 2-4-1 Wednesdays at Bliss Rebar slideshow here and our full rundown after the jump…
The Place: 901 N. 4th St., Phoenix, AZ 85004
The Time: Every Wednesday after 9 p.m.
The Cover: Nope.
The Parking: Street.
The Bar: The urban chic bar boasts 20 percent off everything until 9 p.m. and 2-4-1 drinks after that. While everything was up for grabs, our personal favorite was the Dreamy Creamy Orangesicle because it tasted just like one.
The Music: Each song was more disco and dancier than the last, but the volume was low and no one was movin’.
The People: A quiet crew of friends with diverse ages and styles.
We’re thankful for you. Are you thankful for us?
We feel thankful for our staff and for the privilege of fulfilling our mission to be an unparalleled source of information and insight in Phoenix. We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community.
Help us continue giving back to Phoenix.
The Style: Casual and current.
The Art: Rocco P. Menaguale’s splatter paint pointillism perfectly fit the bar.
What we loved: The variety of bargains and beverages. The bar has a whole section of the menu dedicated to employee-created cocktails. We can’t wait to try Missy’s Sex on the Beach next time.
What we didn’t love: The best thing about Bliss Rebar is the outdoor tree-shaped rebar-bar and the overall patio area. Unfortunately, this area wasn’t being utilized at all on Wednesday.
Are we going back? We’re feeling pretty blissful about waiting a while before coming back.
