26 Blocks photo/writing show previewed last night. The opening reception is tonight from 6 to 9 pm at After Hours Gallery, 116 West McDowell Road #120, Phoenix.
So, you ask, what did we think?
Mixed bag.
For the ambitious project, writers and photographers were grouped into 26 working pairs. Each pair was randomly assigned one city block in Phoenix to use as a backdrop for their art — specifically, 500 words and one image (which can be comprised of no more than 4 separate images).
