Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You

We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.

If going green is the hip thing to do nowadays, then the Irish are way ahead of the game. Like, centuries ahead. But that’s not the only thing that the North Atlantic Island can hang its collective hat on. For a relatively small place, the Island has produced some pretty impressive exports. Where would the world be without James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Bono, Enya, and the Riverdance? Okay, some of their exports have been better than others. Nevertheless, you’ll have a great opportunity to experience Ireland here in Phoenix at the 32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Faire on Saturday, March 14. The parade and faire both begin at 10 a.m., with the faire taking place at Hance Park, 1106 North Central Avenue. Admission is $10, but kiddos under 12 get in free. Visit www.stpatricksdayphoenix.org for details.

Sat., March 14, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 2015
