DJ Seduce, a local jock who has dedicated his life as a music enthusiast to searching for grand grooves that shuffle people’s feet while moving their souls, has really gone way out – specifically, Brazil – to collect music for his latest comp, Brazil:Sambossica. The album, which features grooves by Seduce and his Afro:Baile crew, brings a diverse range of hip-swiveling tunes that are Brazilian in origin or inspiration, including samba, bossa nova, and African rhythms that mingle with sultry and soulful jazzy throughlines.
Afro:Baile Records celebrates the release of DJ Seduce’s Brazil:Sambossica at Maria Maria Restaurant. Sounds from Seduce’s Stylus will be enhanced with the live art of David Ware, a video screen full of Brazilian visuals, and plenty of caipirinhas, the national drink of Brazil that’s a potent potable of sugar, lime, and cachaça, a sugarcane-derived liquor.
