When it comes to hipster pool parties, the rule this summer is apparently “better late than never.” (Even William Reed and his Sticky Fingers crew were a bit tardy with their new swim soiree, Cannonball.)
Trendy party promoter Jared Alan (the cat behind FauxShow and the Cheap Thrills dance event) announced that Adult Swim, the popular pool party he used to run with Reed the past few summers, will make its return on Sunday, July 17. Just don’t expect a regular go-to — Alan also says the event’s a one-time affair and won’t return as a weekly event.
The Sunday afternoon event is at Scottsdale’s Millennium Resort, far away from the downtown Phoenix hotels where Adult Swim has been held in the past.
Alan and co-promoter Jen Deveroux will be offering special party busses to and from downtown as a part of a $10 admission package that also includes two free drinks.
