With the recent tsunami scares in Hawaii, it’s likely there aren’t many Phoenicians booking it to the islands right now. But that’s no excuse to ditch the Aloha spirit.

Check out the Arizona Aloha Festival. Beside the opportunity to don cute flowery get-ups, the fest features a bevy of Hawaiian and Polynesian performances and vendors. Watch hula dancing, listen to storytellers, or jam out to steel guitar and Tahitian drumming. Once the action stirs up some tummy grumbles, grab up some island eats such as rice dishes, stews, and tropical fruit-filled desserts.
