Have you ever watched The Wizard of Oz on mute with Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon playing in the background? Have you ever watched The Wizard of Oz on mute with Dark Side of the Moon in the background while on weed?

The Wicked Witch of the West’s costume cackle becomes all too real, and you could swear those flying monkeys were jumping out of the screen, ready to attack whichever viewer looks the most frightened. And, if you smoked before the film, odds are that terrified person is you.

The Theater League version that will be performed at the Orpheum is not recommended for the scared stoner. The Wicked Witch of the West and her loyal, evil minions are all too real in this stage adaptation of the 1939 film classic, sans Pink Floyd. On the bright side, so are ever-good Dorothy, the brain-lacking Scarecrow, the courage-less Cowardly Lion, and the heart-seeking Tin Man as they take their own sort of trip down the yellow brick road.
