We’re often glued to our computers, processing the deluge of information we see on the screens. Damned if, despite the link-sharing and various means of online gabbing, it doesn’t seem anti-social. That’s why we’re totally sprung on the new Reading Society shindig. The biweekly gathering is an open and informal collection of folks who meet up, read excerpts from their favorite writings, and discuss them among actual, physical human beings. The whole shebang is facilitated by Joey G. of Mob Action University and one of the benevolent conspirators behind PHX Bux, the local community-based currency that recently debuted, so expect the discussion to be fun, lively, and enlightening.
