Apocalypse Parties in Metro Phoenix
Despite ending of the Mayan calendar, as well as the doomsaying prophecies of end times-obsessed wingnuts everywhere, the world didn’t go boom on Friday, December 21. That didn’t mean there weren’t spectacular shenanigans taking place, as the Valley’s party crowd put on some fantastic and fiery Doomsday fiestas around the Metro Phoenix area.

Local revelers were creating duct-tape mummies during the Doomsday Firestage and Apocalypse Party at The Firehouse Gallery, slinging flames and sucking down tequila at Apocalypto: Funeral for the World! at Monsterland in Mesa, and dancing away the evening during Boomsday at Bar Smith and the End of the World Party at Axis/Radius in Scottsdale.
