Reader support matters more than ever

We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out this is a good deal.

The Arizona Science Center will offer free general admission to the public the weekend of April 25 and 26, thanks to sponsorship by Fry’s grocery stores. That’s a savings of nine dollars for adults and seven for children — so bring the whole brood.

Of course, the Center still plans on making money that weekend, and not just in that sorry excuse for a food court. The Star Trek exhibit, IMAX theater, planetarium and other attractions all cost extra, as usual.
