With an eye toward what’s cool and a boatload of excitement over the contributions creative folks make to Phoenix, New Times hosts its third annual Artopia.
It’s an evening that celebrates this year’s Big Brains nominees, 18 Valley residents emerging in their specialties of craft, design, visual art, culinary arts, performing arts, or online media. One winner from each of the six categories will be announced during the arty party and win $500 to further his or her endeavors.
Vendors will sell their wares, as attendees sample dishes from local restaurants, sip hand-crafted cocktails (along with beer and wine), and get an eyeful of live entertainment.
