Ever wanted to don colorful and creative formal attire while celebrating arty stuff downtown in the presence of Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton? Well, weirdo, your super-specific dreams are about to come true, thanks to Art d’Core Gala 2015. The free soiree, hosted by Artlink, serves as a fancy kick-off to the arts organization’s Art Detour 27, an art walk that opens up galleries, studios, and non-traditional spaces in Phoenix on March 7 and 8.
Come for the Mayor’s “celebrate downtown” address and stay for the music, dance, and art from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, at Crescent Ballroom, 308 North Second Avenue. Admission is free to the event. RSVP through artlinkphoenix.com/art-detour/gala.
