Good news, all you analog photographers. Art Intersection currently is accepting submissions for its annual juried exhibition, “Light Sensitive.” Selecting a maximum of three artists, this exhibition will showcase only prints created through traditional darkroom practices.

Although “Light Sensitive” requires artists to use analog techniques, Art Intersection’s call for work notes that there is plenty of room for creativity, as past years have exhibited a wide variety of printing methods from C-prints, cyanotype, and platinum to wet-plate collodion tintypes, gelatin silver, and gum bichromate.
Artists can even use digital negatives in the creation of their prints, so long as the final print is created in traditional analog fashion.
Artists may submit up to five works at the cost of Art Intersection’s $45 submission fee. All entries must be submitted in JPEG form by Monday, February 3. Artists will be selected by Art Instruction’s assigned juror, Tom Persinger, and announced Monday, February 10.
“Light Sensitive” will hold an opening reception at Art Intersection from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8. The show will remain on view through April 19. For more details about this exhibition or to apply, visit Art Intersection online.
