However, Deacon makes up for his general lack of Internet know-how (and who really cares about that stuff, anyhow?) with brilliant electronic-music compositions aided by effects pedals, wave function generators, and massive nerd-gasms. His new album, Bromst, takes the Baltimore-based artist’s wall of sound to new heights with the help of a seven-man ensemble adding trumpet, keyboard, alto saxophone, mallets, and more to the musician’s already disfigured electronic/psychedelic repertoire. We also dig Deacon’s tendency to ditch the stage and perform among the concertgoers.
