If you’re looking for some seriously unique gifts or want to scout out the next generation of local creatives, head to Hoodlums this weekend.
The Tempe-based music store will host a photography ceramic and artwork show with pieces by students in the Tempe Union and Kyrene School Districts to support art and education programs.
Art Rocks! — a collaborative effort by Hoodlums, Arts Council for Youth, Marcos de Niza High School, Kyrene Middle School, and the City of Tempe — is free to the public and will feature dozens of artworks for sale to the tune of local high school bands, which you can read about on Up on the Sun.
Doors open at 6 p.m. on Saturday December 10 and you’ll be lucky if you can walk away saying, “yeah, my kid could paint that.”
