This humongous affair marks the official openings of six different exhibits at the museum: “Nowhere to Hide: Three Artists in the Desert,” “Defining Sustainability: From the ASU Art Museum Collection,” “Social Studies Project 5 — Jillian McDonald: Alone Together in the Dark,” Moving Targets New Media Series: “I’m Keeping an Eye on You,” “Native Confluence: Sustaining Cultures,” and “Political Ply: Recycled Evaporative Cooling Shade Structures.” Additionally, there will be experimental music by Raven Chacon (of Postcommodity) and Father of the Flood, and hands-on activities related to Operation Paydirt, the latest project by artist Mel Chin.
