Audubon Arizona is looking for owl-loving creatives to illustrate a few posters.

The bird-centric organization has been relocating displaced burrowing owls to its Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area over the past year. Now it’s looking to increase awareness about both the owls and the program.
But they need some imagery to do that. That’s where Phoenix artists come in.

Audubon Arizona will accept only vertical 11-by-17-inch two-dimensional works featuring the burrowing owl. Artists’ names and contact information must be included on the back of entries. Official entry forms, which can be downloaded at az.audubon.org, must accompany submissions. Two winners will be chosen: One who’s 17 or older and another between the ages of 10 and 16.
Entries can be delivered by hand or mail to 3131 S. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, 85040, or by e-mail to cwise@audubon.org. Deadline to submit work is 5 p.m. January 31.
Winning works will be displayed during Art Detour on Saturday and Sunday, March 8 and 9, as well as at both Audubon and Phoenix Center for the Arts events. Additionally, they’ll be used in Audubon promotional materials.
