Pack a blanket and a lawn chair — Ballet Arizona is back for its annual event, Ballet Under the Stars.

In 12 years, the event has drawn over 60,000 Valley residents. Guided by Ib Andersen, the company’s artistic director, dancers perform programs ranging from classical to contemporary.

This year’s series includes excerpts from Divertimento No. 15, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Four Temperaments.

The free performances will be held September 22 through 26 at 7 p.m. at five outdoor venues around the valley (where the chairs and blankets will come in handy).
