Humans love the thrill of competition. The Romans pitted their strongest against one another and got off on the gruesome win. The Aztecs gambled food, slaves, and even their own freedom on the outcome of their sports.
We apply this need for competition to our urban setting and get the Celebrity Status Hip Hop and R&B Showcase. Quick-witted, rhythmic wordsmiths like BULLET, Yung Getta, Jay Macc, and Homegrown will spit rhymes for the all-ages crowd. An R&B battle will award $150 cash to the winner, while a dance-off will pony up $250 to the person with the best moves.
