The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 9.
Things we love about October: We get to plan a Halloween get-up. The brats are settled into school. Our underwear never gets sweaty. And, of course, beer.
Hit the Oktoberfest at CityScape at the venue’s outdoor open mall, hosted by Phoenix Sister Cities. You’ll enjoy all the Oktoberfest fixins with live music, dancing, bratwurst, sauerkraut, beer, beer, and . . . did we mention beer? Enjoy brews of old-world craftsmen, including suds from the Weihenstephan Brewery that got its start in Bavaria in 768 (no, that’s not a typo). More beers by Spaten, Erdinger, and Bitburger will also be flowing.
