Is there a car with a greater journey to acclaim than the Volkswagen Beetle? Created by Ferdinand Porsche at the behest of Hitler in 1933, the car was designed to get a family of five groovin’ across the Autobahn with maximum efficiency. The Volkwagen’s 70-year production history includes starring in Herbie the Love Bug flicks and its legacy will be celebrated at Bugorama, Sunday, March 25.

In addition to showcasing the shiniest of vintage VWs, the German engineering will be put to the test with some drag racing. There will be a swap meet and vendor booths to satisfy those ever-tweaking gearheads.
