Big Gus, a big-timer in the Los Angeles-area tattoo scene, will be inking folks on a walk-in and appointment basis from today through this Saturday at Mesa’s Urban Art Tattoo & Piercing.
The self-taught, award-winning tattooist works out of Art Junkies in Hesperia, California, where he specializes in blackline, portraiture, and realism. He has also been a guest artist of the top tattoo shindigs, including Arizona’s Hell City Tattoo Festival.
According to an employee of Urban Art, Big Gus is no stranger to working on celebrities. For example, last time Big Gus came through the shop, he tatted up two-time NFL Pro Bowl defensive end Darnell Dockett of the Arizona Cardinals. Musical artist Pink owns some of dude’s artwork as well.
