The traveling circus troupe known as the Hellzapoppin Slideshow Revue spent Saturday night swallowing swords, eating fire, and defying death in as many ways as possible. The fine freak show folk did so as part of the Bizarre Bazaar at Downtown Phoenix art space, The Firehouse.
The freakiness extended beyond the stage and had an effect on their audience, their behavior and their fashion choices.
