This was not the season that Grant Hill had in mind when he re-signed with the Suns. The NBA’s second oldest player has battled through sore quadriceps only to see his team stumble out to a losing record. With a third of the season in the books, it’s looking like the only positive to this season for Hill will be enjoying an early summer vacation.
Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street, will be crucial as the Suns attempt to make the playoffs and validate Hill’s decision to stay in the Valley. The Mavs — 2012 underachievers in their own right — look like they’ll be one of the teams vying for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, so a win could help the Suns gain some much-needed ground on January 30.
