We have the dubious distinction of having met and been uncomfortably hit on by Jeff Dowd, who you might know better as “The Dude” or the dude who “The Dude” is based on, anyway. In spite of the awkward advances (guy does not look like Jeff Bridges, okay?), we can and do enjoy the Coen Brothers’ The Big Lebowski heartily.
Lucky for us (and others who enjoy a good disembodied toe) Dowd’s slacker avatar will search for his beloved rug on Saturday, December 22, at FilmBar, 815 North Second Street, at 2 and 9 p.m. Tickets are $7 to either showing, although the later one is 21-plus.
