Since the opening of University of Phoenix Stadium and the hiring of head coach Ken Whisenhunt, the Arizona Cardinals have made significant strides toward painting this anti-Bidwill town red. The Birds have developed a nice little home-field advantage, and it’s rare anymore to see the UofP blitzed with foreign colors. However, expect it to look like a silver-and-navy bomb went off come about 1:15 this afternoon, when the Dallas Cowboys come a-callin’.

Though the ’boys are justly considered one of the NFL’s elite teams, they’ve got zip to show for the flowery reputation that precedes them, having flamed out miserably in the past two postseasons despite a record-busting offense anchored by the Triplets II: QB Tony Romo, WR Terrell Owens, and RB Marion Barber. Plus, Whisenhunt’s coaching strengths line up well against the Cowboys’ few glaring weaknesses, so maybe our dudes in crimson will be able to peel some of that shiny metallic paint off those friggin’ stars.
