Brazil seems pretty cool and stuff. Fine fútbol, beautiful woman, and music that, if you dig below surface of the typical samba, bossa nova, and Brazilian jazz, is pretty darn awesome. Take Database for example. The Brazil-based, French-house emcee collective started making music together in 2007 in the vein of Daft Punk and Cassius, then caught a break the next year when the duo was asked by Southern Friend Records to remix some Fatboy Slim. Since then, they have shared the stage with sonic luminaries such as Kanye West and MGMT.
On Wednesday, August 19, Database brings its South American sounds to the decks at the Rhythm Room.
