Blood might be thicker than water but playwright Tarrell Alvin McCraney explores the fluidity of family ties in his Brothers/Sisters Trilogy. His first offering, The Brothers Size, mixes the Deep South with West African mythology on Friday, September 19.
In the back roads of Louisiana, Ogun Size pours his days into his auto shop. His younger brother Oshoosi is freshly paroled and without much direction. While Ogun provides his younger sibling with employment, an old prison mate, Elegba, offers him a path to the adventure he craves. This tale of a divided soul is directed by Stray Cats Theatre founding artistic director Ron May.
