Whacking little white balls around delicately manicured lawns has long been a staple of outdoor activity around town. However, there’s always been one teensy-weensy problem with the whole setup, and it’s spelled s-u-m-m-e-r. There’s nothing quite like dripping sweat so profusely that just holding onto the club becomes a chore. However, some genius at the City of Phoenix finally figured it out: Night Golf. Eureka! Golf under the stars and the lights after the sun’s finally been put out of our misery for another day. All of the illuminated holes at Palo Verde will be open for business, and participants can pick up their glow-in-the-dark balls at check-in, which starts at 6:30.
