This Wednesday, Bennett Miller, director of the films Capote and Moneyball, will chat with film students and fans about his time behind the big screen via Skype technology and another big screen set up this Wednesday at ASU.

Miller will be participating in a Q&A after a screening of Capote as part of an interactive film series at ASU called “Hollywood Invades Tempe.”

The idea fuses together three film fan favorites: pizza, movies, and chatting with directors and producers. Previous events have included screenings of Dazed and Confused with director Richard Linklater, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with producer Anthony Bregman, and JJ Abrams’ Star Trek with producer Bryan Burk.

The Capote screening on Wednesday, September 28, starts at 5 p.m. Pizza will be served, and then the movie, which tells the story of In Cold Blood author Truman Capote’s friendship with a killer, will screen at 5:30. Afterwards, audience members can participate in a Q&A with director Bennett Miller on Skype. ASU associate professor of film Adam Collis will moderate. The event is free.
