You may not be a fan of the sexy vampire/werewolf/zombie genre (otherwise known as contemporary fantasy), but it’s hard to hate on the “Smart Chicks Kick It” Tour. Too often, book signings are overt money grabs, so it’s refreshing to see one that isn’t.
Organized independently by a group of fantasy novelists, the tour – which will make a stop at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library – truly exists for the readers: there’s no admission charge, there’s no autograph fee, and the authors won’t refuse to sign anything that’s not a copy of their books. The event will feature Q&A sessions with several of the tour’s authors, including best-selling scribes Kelley Armstrong (Darkest Power series) and Melissa Marr (Wicked Lovely).
