Pagan rights may have come a long way since the Salem witch trials, but there are still crackpots burning Harry Potter books and boycotting Halloween because it’s “Satan’s playground” (though the sight of toddlers dressed up as Snooki and Gaga does have us consider the legitimacy of the latter).

Get the real scoop on harmonious, nature-loving religion at the 10th annual Pagan Pride Day at Glendale Community College. In addition to educational programs and workshops, the family-friendly event features performances by Tom Tuerff and Dead Can Dance tribute band Spirit Chaser, magickal vendors, tarot readings, and a Warrior Ritual honoring military heroes.

And since pagans can legally marry – unlike participants at the other famous pride day – guests can view a handfasting ceremony in which two people are literally tied together as life partners.
