Phoenix Art Museum director Jim Ballinger announced the 2014 Contemporary Forum grant winners at the museum on Wednesday, May 14, with French Thompson, Contemporary Forum’s president.

The 2014 artist grant recipients are Kerstin Dale, Bill Dambrova, Karen Hymer, Lauren Strohacker and Kendra Sollars, Hyunji Lee, Larry Valencia Madrigal, and Ben Willis.
Rachel Bess received the mid-career artist award.

2013’s grant winners were sent off with a lecture from Colin Chillag, who won the 2013 mid-career artist award. Chillag discussed his artistic evolution and current body of work, which is now on view in the museum. Recent works from last year’s grant winners are also on view.
