While Mario Matteoli might have outgrown his old band The Weary Boys, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter certainly hasn’t abandoned the multifaceted genre of Americana. In the two years since his former band went its separate ways, Matteoli’s been been racheting out plenty of country-fried ditties both as a solo act and as the ringleader of his newest group The Preservation. The Austin-based fivesome will be in town this weekend to entertain the folks down at the Yucca Tap with their down-home stylings. The like-minded locals of Junction 10 and Hashknife Outfit will also be in the house.
