Any fashionista worth her weight in Manolos knows that New York City is one of the fashion capitals of the world. From its cutting-edge catwalks to supreme sample sales, the Big Apple is easy to envy. But chic Phoenicians needn’t fret.
Kierland Commons hosts its second annual Fashion’s Night Out, offering a free, block party-style shopping extravaganza that originated in the Empire State. Retailers in the Scottsdale shopping complex, including Michael Kors, Guess, and Anthropologie, offer discounts, fashion shows, champagne and hors de’oeuvres to style-craving – and literally hungry – shoppers on the prowl.
“Our center’s layout is so intimate that it really lends itself to that perfect evening out with the girls,” says Kierland’s marketing maven Alison Goodman. “It really does feel like a neighborhood district, just like the event in New York City.”
The most ambitious of fashionistas can make a crawl of it. Other shopping centers will host FNO fun including Chandler Fashion Center, Scottsdale Fashion Square, and the Biltmore Fashion Park.
